Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first visit. Don't see your question? Call us at (559) 431-6700.
Do I need a doctor's referral to start physical therapy?

We encourage all patients to have a doctor's referral before starting physical therapy. Requirements vary by insurance plan, so call us with your insurance card to confirm any authorization or documentation steps before scheduling.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept Kaiser, Medicare, and PPO plans. We encourage all patients to have a doctor's referral before starting physical therapy. Requirements vary by insurance plan, so call us with your insurance card to confirm any authorization or documentation steps before scheduling.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Whatever you'd wear to work out in — loose, comfortable clothing that lets you move and gives your therapist access to the area we're treating. Treating a knee or leg? Shorts make life easier for both of us.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Your insurance card, a photo ID, and anything relevant on paper — a referral or surgical protocol if you have one, plus a list of current medications. Getting there a few minutes early for intake paperwork means your actual session starts on time instead of eating into it.

What happens at my first appointment?

It's an evaluation, not a lecture — we talk through your history and what you're hoping to get back to, then assess how you're actually moving: strength, range, where the pain shows up. In most cases treatment begins that same day, depending on what the evaluation finds.

How long is each appointment?

Appointment length depends on the type of visit and your treatment plan. Call us at (559) 431-6700 and we'll tell you what to expect when you schedule.

How many visits will I need?

Depends on the condition, how long you've had it, and what you're trying to get back to. After your evaluation you'll get a real timeline, not a guess — and we adjust it as we see how you respond.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please call us at (559) 431-6700 as soon as you know you need to change an appointment. Our front desk will help you reschedule and explain the current cancellation policy.

Where are you located and is there parking?
